Dr. Wendy Reiboldt joined the Cal State LA team in January of 2024 as Associate Dean of the Rongxiang Xu College of Health and Human Services. She is deeply committed to serving students and follows the RXHHS tradition of students first, students second, and students third. She has experience in teaching, research, service, student retention strategies, and advising practices. She is a tireless leader committed to improving the lives of faculty, staff, and students.
Dr. Reiboldt received her Bachelor of Science in Consumer Sciences from Miami University and her Master’s and Ph.D. in Consumer and Family Economics from The Ohio State University. She previously served as a faculty member at Cal State Long Beach, where she was department chair for 15 years. She is an active researcher with over 40 peer-reviewed publications, a noteworthy textbook, and a two-volume resource encyclopedia. Her research areas include consumer protection and service, family dynamics, and interventions to improve the lives of underserved families.
Dr. Reiboldt has attended countless leadership workshops and retreats. She greatly enjoys leadership and working with faculty and staff. She has been involved in numerous “students first” programs and is a devoted advocate for students.
